March Newsletter: First Steps to Buying A Home

Hello March!

Cheers to daylight savings! Spring is around the corner, the days are getting longer, and hopefully the gloom and rain is soon behind us!

One of my favorite things about this journey in real estate is the conversations I've been having with you around the market, interest rates, home design, and the general process of purchasing a home. It helps drive what I focus on learning more about and gives me good content for this monthly newsletter! For March, I decided to focus on the initial steps required to purchase a home.

This month, I thought I'd focus on initial steps to consider if you're thinking about buying a home in the next 10-18 months:
  • Get in touch with a realtor to form a game plan and share what your ideal criteria would be. This will help you get an idea of what is on the market and the cost associated.
  • Need a loan? Get pre-approved with a lender (for free). The lender will review your credit score, debt, income, savings, etc. to help you determine your budget and the loan program that will work best for you. This step is the most time consuming so getting ahead of it will put you in the position to make a move quickly once you find the perfect home.
  • Go see houses! The fun part! Now that you know your budget, we can dive into making your dream a reality!
If you have any questions or are interested in connecting with a lender, please do not hesitate to reach out! I've spent a lot of time connecting with some really talented and creative lenders that can help you assess your finances and guide you in the right direction.

Best,
